SHARE PROTOCOL

Liquid ingress causes rapid galvanic corrosion when current flows through conductive fluid bridging PCB components. Proper emergency restoration protocol saves motherboards from permanent damage.
Immediate Triage Protocol 1. **Power Isolation:** Immediately disconnect the battery flex connector to halt electrolysis and pad erosion. 2. **EMI Shield Removal:** Desolder or remove snap-on electromagnetic shields covering PMIC, RF, and Audio IC sections. Corrosion almost always accumulates hidden beneath shield enclosures.
Ultrasonic Decontamination - Submerge the bare PCB in high-purity Isopropyl Alcohol (99% IPA) or specialized electronics cleaning solution. - Cycle in an ultrasonic bath at 40kHz for 5–8 minutes. - Dry completely in a ESD-safe thermal chamber at 65°C for 30 minutes before applying voltage.
High-Risk Voltage Line Inspection Examine high-voltage booster lines under magnification: - Display Backlight Anode Line (typically 20V–35V DC) - Camera Flash Driver Rail - VPH_PWR Primary System Voltage Rail
Replace corroded ceramic capacitors and re-establish damaged copper traces prior to powered diagnostics.
