Modern iPhone motherboard repair relies heavily on structured diagnostic data, including system kernel panic logs and split-board separation techniques.

1. Panic Log Analysis (Panic-Full) When an iPhone restarts periodically every 3 minutes, macOS/iOS panic logs pinpoint the failing hardware subsystem: - **Thermal Monitor Panic ('PRS0', 'TG0B', 'mic1'):** Indicates an open circuit on the charging port flex cable or wireless charging coil thermistor lines. - **I2C0 / I2C1 Bus Reset:** Points to a communication failure on display, touch, or proximity sensor lines.

2. Double-Decker Board Separation iPhone X and newer models utilize interposer sandwich construction connecting top and bottom board layers. - Utilize a specialized heating platform set precisely to 180°C–200°C. - Separate top (Logic) and bottom (RF/Baseband) boards cleanly without disturbing frame pad array integrity. - Use interposer test fixtures to run full diagnostics on the top logic board independently before re-joining.

3. Baseband & Cellular Rail Diagnostics "No Service" issues frequently stem from fractured interposer joints or shorted LDO rails around the Baseband PMIC. Reballing or replacing interposer pads restores cellular functionality.
